Annual Block Course Chemical Sensors – Basics, Technology and Applications

Every year, graduate students from all over the world and the University of Tübingen take part in the two week block course about chemical sensors.

The course provides students with an introduction into the technology and applications of chemical sensors, like metal oxide based gas sensors (SMOX), polymer based gas sensors, pellistors, electrochemical cell gas sensors and biosensors. The course combines lectures with practical work in which the students learn how to prepare, characterize, evaluate and finally compare different sensor types.

Schedule

Lectures: 09:00-12:00

Practical Course: 13:00-17:00

The course also includes a social dinner and a tour of Tuebingen to allow participants to experience a bit of German culture.

You will find up-to-date information for the annual block course here.
